What is ADHD?

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects a patient's attention and mood. What Are the Benefits of Integrative Approaches to Treating ADD/ADHD?

There are multiple benefits to using integrative approaches to managing ADHD and its symptoms. Diagnosis of ADHD in adults is typically made by licensed professionals such as psychologists or psychiatrists with clinical expertise in ADHD. Patients must have experienced symptoms of ADHD before the age of 12. Using natural approaches to ADHD does not involve narcotics and is non-invasive, allowing for patients to practice therapies even after they feel great as a way of maintaining a high level of wellness.
Common non-drug therapies to manage ADHD symptoms include:
  • Changes to diet
  • Herbal supplements
  • Cognitive behavior therapy
  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Biofeedback
